- ABOUT ME
A Practice Built on Deep Understanding
"My teaching is rooted in careful observation and deep anatomical understanding."
I specialize in identifying inefficient or unhealthy movement patterns and helping clients re-pattern how they move, building strength, stability, and coordination that supports daily life and all other activities.
Sessions focus on strengthening the deep muscles of the hips, spine, shoulders, and abdomen to support optimal core function, joint integrity, and long-term physical health. The work is precise, thoughtful, and progressive, designed to help you feel better in your body over time, not just during the session.
- My Approach
What Working With Me Is Like

I notice what others miss. Small adjustments make the biggest difference, and I take the time to find and address them.
Calm and attentive
Sessions are a space to tune in, not zone out. My calm, focused presence helps you connect more deeply with your own body.
Adapted to your unique body and movement history
Your body and movement history are unique. Sessions are fully tailored to where you are and evolve as you change and grow stronger.

I am a movement teacher and have had the opportunity to experience both yoga & pilates with Marci. She is not reciting a script on autopilot, but instead brings years of movement experience & study and therefore is able to tailor the program to your specific needs—her sessions are truly therapeutic.Posted on Google EstherTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Working with Marci over the past 3 years has been one of the greatest exercise experiences I have had. As someone with hypermobility I have struggled to find a teacher that takes my concerns seriously and modifies exercises appropriately. Marci’s understanding of my hypermobility and her endless creativity in finding solutions that allow me to stregthen my body has been a gift. My body’s stamina and strength have grown and I am so grateful.Posted on Google Lícia DantasTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Marci is phenomenal! She is very pleasant and most importantly super effective with her technique. I came to her a few months postpartum with back and leg pain and a very weak core. She met me exactly where I was physically and working together over the past two months I already feel soooo much better! She is super detail oriented and focused on understanding the root cause of the problem and helping you fix it during the session and with homework. I always look forward to our sessions. I can’t recommend Marci highly enough!Posted on Google Wen FTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found Marci in my mid third trimester and have taken private lessons with her right up until giving birth. Marci is very hands-on and attentive to my personal needs and I trust her 100% to give me a safe and effective workout each time. Marci knows exactly what to work on to make my body feel great, while also helping me stay focused and present. All were so helpful for my birth. Thank you Marci!Posted on Google Barrie RaikTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have known Marci for several years as a thoughtful and engaging teacher of chair yoga. Recently we both recognized I might benefit from one-on-one attention in private Pilates sessions. Marci as a Pilates instructor is amazing! She investigated my concerns and proceeded to focus our work on the specific areas of my body where I had pain, weakness and balance problems. I'm stronger and pain is gone. I highly recommend Marci for her skill, compassion and thorough approach.Posted on Google Emily OpperTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I started working with Marci as I was entering my 2nd trimester of pregnancy and am so glad I did! Our sessions were fun and I always left feeling stronger. I continued to work with Marci until pretty far into my third trimester and always felt safe because Marci really knows what she is doing! Marci is the best and I am so grateful to her!Posted on Google Jessie W.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend prenatal Pilates with Marci to anyone looking to ease pregnancy aches and pains and also build strength for birth and beyond. She is a wonderful teacher and offers thoughtfully choreographed sessions - a perfect mix of strength and stretching. She explains each exercise clearly and offers personal modifications. Working with Marci weekly strengthened my pelvic floor, relieved my extreme back pain, and in general supported my changing body in each stage of pregnancy. Marci’s prenatal pilates classes are just fantastic!Load more

Frequently Asked Questions
Not at all. Sessions are designed to meet you exactly where you are. Whether you are completely new to Pilates or returning after a long break, everything is tailored to your body, your movement history, and your current goals. There is no prior experience required to get started.
In a private session, every exercise, cue, and progression is designed specifically for you. I am watching how your body actually moves, not how bodies move in general, and I adjust in real time based on what I see. For people managing injuries, chronic conditions, or complex movement histories, this level of individual attention is not just preferable, it is often necessary for safe and effective progress.
Yes, when practiced with proper guidance and modification. Pilates is widely recommended for people with osteoporosis because of its emphasis on alignment, core strength, and controlled, low-impact movement. In private sessions, I adapt each exercise carefully, avoiding positions that place excessive flexion load on the spine while still building meaningful strength, balance, and stability. I am also trained to work alongside your medical team when appropriate.
Working with hypermobile bodies requires a fundamentally different approach than standard Pilates instruction. Rather than increasing range of motion, the goal is building the stability, proprioception, and neuromuscular control that hypermobile joints often lack. I specialize in this area and understand how to design sessions that protect hypermobile clients rather than inadvertently stressing their systems further.
Yes. Prenatal Pilates, when taught by someone with specialized training, is safe and highly beneficial throughout pregnancy. I have completed in-depth training in the physiology of pregnancy and understand how to adapt sessions for each trimester, supporting core integrity, relieving common discomforts, and preparing the body for labor and postpartum recovery. Sessions for pregnant clients are gentle, intentional, and always guided by how you are feeling on any given day.
